Interim Senior Legal Counsel

Join our client, a leading entertainment network provider as their Interim Senior Legal Counsel on a Fixed Term Basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and make a significant impact in the media industry.

As the Interim Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for delivering best-in-class, commercially-focused legal and risk management support and expertise. You will advise on a wide range of legal issues and work closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment between the legal team and the business.

They are open to the right person working a 4-day week in London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert counsel on legal and commercial matters, reviewing and stress-testing commercial deals.
• Drive legal and regulatory compliance across the business, developing new working methods and practises.
• Identify legal frameworks for novel initiatives and assess evolving regulatory trends.
• Service all areas of the business on a range of legal matters, including commercial contracts, technology agreements, and licensing work.
• Manage a diverse and challenging range of contentious and non-contentious matters.

Requirements:

• Qualified solicitor with 6+ years of experience, including in-house experience.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience working in a fast-paced media environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with internal clients at all levels.
• Proven ability to prioritise and assess risk in various deals.
• Highly effective negotiating skills and strong attention to detail.
• Passion and interest in the media sector.
