Our client is a major global law firm with an established and longstanding reputation in the UK, where they are headquartered.
Their London-based top-ranked non-contentious construction team advises clients across a variety of sectors on all types of construction projects including commercial, retail, energy, urban regeneration and infrastructure. The team is ambitious, highly regarded and friendly. They have undergone significant growth in recent years, and are now looking for an additional Associate.
In this role, you'll advise clients on all types of construction projects including commercial, retail, energy, urban regeneration and infrastructure, including advice on a procurement routes as well as assisting in drafting and negotiating a wide range of construction agreements (including standard form contracts such as NEC, JCT, FIDIC and IChemE as well as bespoke agreements, professional team appointments, guarantees and bonds, collateral warranties and a range of ancillary documents).
In order to be considered for this role, you will have:
- A strong academic background;
- Training and most likely 2-3 years' PQE in non-contentious construction law, gained from a high quality non-contentious construction practice;
- Good experience of, and an interest in construction and infrastructure projects
- Excellent communication skills, and the ability and experience to develop productive working relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels;
- A collegiate and collaborative approach, supporting the development of the practice and also the team's culture and values.
