Assistant Company Secretary

London Area

Permanent

£65,000 - £75,000 DOE

A leading insurance company is actively looking for a Company Secretary to join their in-house legal team on a permanent basis.

This role would see the Assistant Company Secretary work closely with the General Counsel & Company Secretary on a range of company secretarial duties. In time, the Assistant Company Secretary would be able to step up into the Company Secretary position, making this a brilliant opportunity for an individual looking to take the next step up in their career.

The successful Assistant Company Secretary will be able to attend the office in London twice a week, along with monthly board meetings.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Company Secretary/Corporate Office administrative tasks and will have ICSA qualifications (partial or full). Experience working for an insurance or financial services firm would be advantageous but not necessary.

As an Assistant Company Secretary, your role will include, but is not limited to;

  • Preparation of meeting materials such as the agenda and action logs
  • Compiling Board and Committee packs and performing quality assurance on the materials
  • Taking efficient minutes of the Board and Committee meetings
  • Companies House and other statutory filings and associated administrative tasks
  • Liaising regularly with the leadership team across the Group in the UK and globally
