Hays is delighted to represent a leading law firm in Northern Ireland, renowned for its commitment to justice and excellence in legal representation both locally and internationally. This great firm are currently recruiting for a Criminal Solicitor to join their team based in Belfast City Centre.
Your new role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an incredible firm and work on some of the most interesting cases. Duties include:* Represent clients in criminal cases, providing expert legal advice and defence.
* Conduct thorough legal research and prepare legal documents, including briefs, motions, and appeals.
* Attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
* Negotiate with prosecutors and other parties to secure favourable outcomes for clients.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of criminal law and legal procedures.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring clear communication and understanding of legal processes.
* Collaborate with colleagues and other legal professionals.
What you'll need to succeed
To be an ideal candidate for this role, you will be a solicitor qualified in Northern Ireland with 1+ yrs post qualified experience in criminal law and have:* Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* High level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
