Job Title: Legal Counsel
Location: London (City) - Hybrid (3 days per week in the office)
Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 (DOE)
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Legal Counsel to join an international software company headquartered in the heart of London. This role is ideal for a proactive legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment. As a key member of the legal team, you will be instrumental in managing a wide range of legal matters, particularly those relating to commercial technology contracts (SaaS), intellectual property, data protection, and employment law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Contracts: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements, service contracts, partnership agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Employment Law: Provide expert advice on employment-related issues, including employee contracts, compliance with labour laws, and resolution of workplace disputes.
- Intellectual Property (IP): Manage the company's IP portfolio, provide strategic legal advice on IP-related matters, and handle issues concerning trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
- Legal Compliance: Ensure all company operations adhere to relevant laws and regulations, particularly in the tech and software sectors.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate potential legal risks associated with the company's business operations.
Ideal Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:
- UK-qualified Solicitor with 1 to 4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Demonstrated experience within the technology or SaaS industry.
- Strong background in handling a broad spectrum of commercial agreements.
- Solid understanding of employment law and data protection is highly advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
