The Interim Deputy Co-Sec & Governance & Governance Lead position is a pivotal role in the financial services department responsible for the overall governance and compliance functions of the company. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in corporate governance, with exceptional managerial skills.

Description
The Interim Deputy Company Secretary & Governance Lead will report into the Compliance Director and will be responsible for the corporate governance framework, organising the co-sec function and ensuring timely, precise and effective board & committee support.
Based in the London office, this senior co-sec will:
- Manage and oversee all governance and compliance functions within the firm.
- Develop and implement governance policies and procedures.
- Provide expert advice to the board and senior management on governance matters.
- Ensure the company is compliant with all relevant regulations and laws.
- Provide SMCR support including registrations, be the main contact to deliver the required framework under the Regime and become the SMCR SME.
- Liaise with external regulatory bodies.
- Prepare regular reports for the board on governance and compliance issues.
- Participate in strategic planning and risk management activities.
Profile
A successful Interim Deputy Company Secretary & Governance Lead should have:
- A degree in Law, Business Administration or related field.
- Proven experience in corporate governance within the financial services industry ideally in investment banking.
- Hold a CGI or ISCA qualification.
- Excellent knowledge of compliance regulations and laws with basic understanding of the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR)
- Strong leadership and managerial skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and professional ethics.
