An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading, international law firm as Head of Risk, Digital Legal Delivery and GenAI. This is a full-time position based at the firm's London office.

This is an interesting and challenging role where the main purpose will be to ensure that actions are taken and processes are in place to manage current and future risks, in relation to both emerging technologies and GenAI. You will provide solution-led legal advice in a way which enables the firm to achieve its strategic aims and ensures that a consistent approach is taken globally while minimising material legal risk.

Main responsibilities:

• Manage risk across the firm's global network as needed.
• Building out the firm's GenAI policy to reflect the firm's risk appetite and confirming the guardrails in which decisions should be taken regarding GenAI.
• Identifying risks which may raise in business functions / Digital projects and ensuring that they are appropriately addressed.
• Supporting teams working on GenAI-related issues to navigate GenAI risks - providing clear advice and recommendations and proposing appropriate approaches / mitigating actions that would enable progress.
• Ensuring compliance for the firm with developing laws, regulations and best practice relating to emerging technologies.
• Assisting Senior Leaders within Digital Legal Delivery to come to good risk-based decisions as required.

Skills and Experience:

• A technically astute, qualified lawyer with experience or a keen interest in new and emerging technologies and digital transformation, and experience of developing laws, regulations and best practice relating to GenAI in particular.
• An awareness of legislative change and its applicability to lawyers in a global professional services firm.
• Minimum 5 years PQE; qualified in a common law jurisdiction.
• Broad non-contentious experience preferred.

This role will suit somebody with a pragmatic and commercial approach and excellent interpersonal skills. Also required is the ability to understand and interpret requirements in non-local jurisdictions in order to appropriately manage risk.
