IP Associate Solicitor

Our client, a prestigious law firm, is seeking a skilled and experienced Trade Mark Associate with 5 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) to join its dynamic team. Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trade mark law, with a proven track record of handling complex cases. They should possess excellent analytical and drafting skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential for this role. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing arguments and written evidence at the UKIPO and EUIPO on absolute and relative grounds
• Drafting cease and desist letters
• Drafting settlement agreements
• Working on high court Litigation matters
• Filing and assisting in the drafting of oppositions, including extensions of cooling-off periods, suspensions, notices of appeal, and written statements of grounds (supported by a partner)
• Preparing and filing invalidity and revocation actions (supported by a partner)

Qualifications:

• Qualified solicitor with 3-5 years’ PQE in trade mark law
• Experience preparing arguments and evidence for the UKIPO and EUIPO
• Proficient in drafting cease and desist letters, settlement agreements, and opposition documents
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
