Senior Legal Counsel and Company Secretary

A Senior Legal Counsel with a wide skillset and commercial mindset is needed to join the Electric Vehicle arm of a large multinational conglomerate headquartered in London to provide a wide range of transactional and advisory support.

Client Details

Our client is a well-established entity in the automotive industry with a growing Electric Vehicle arm.

Description

• Advise the business on legal issues relating to products and customers, agreements and contracting, suppliers, employment and general litigation.
• Advise the business on applicable legal and regulatory obligations, identifying and rationalising legal risk and ensuring legal input to the internal governance and compliance processes.
• Ensure that the organisation is compliant with applicable data protection rules, with all necessary roles and processes in place.
• Complete all Company Secretarial requirements for the business including Board meetings, statutory compliance, filings and other matters as and when they may arise.
• Manage the reporting to Parent company on compliance and ensure all necessary procedures are in in place
• Manage all of the IPR and licences in the business (where necessary)

Profile

A successful Senior Legal Counsel and Company Secretary should have:

• A qualified solicitor in the UK or similar jurisdiction.
• Demonstrable experience in drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts is essential.
• Proven experience in providing company secretarial support is highly desirable.
• Experience in operating in an in-house environment will be beneficial.
