London Local Authority
Locum contract 3 months+

A London Local Authority is looking to recruit a qualified Commercial Property lawyer to join their welcoming and hard-working team. The locum assignment will begin on a 3-month initial term, with a view to extend beyond this.
The candidate will work in a fast-paced environment and team but there will be a rewarding caseload. The successful Commercial Property Lawyer will possess the skills necessary to effectively time manage and maintain an excellent standard of work. Our client is seeking a Property Lawyer with prior experience working for a Local Authority and requires the successful candidate to provide accurate commercial property legal advice to clients.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Commercial Landlord and Tenant work
- Provide efficient advice on various legal matters, such as Local Government issues and a range of freehold and leasehold commercial property transactions
- Negotiate commercial lease and licensing agreements
- Transactions relating to the disposal of property
Selling points:
- Working within a well-regarded Council amongst a committed and hard-working team
- Guaranteed work in a fast-paced working environment
- Good paralegal support
- Flexible working
The position will be full-time; however, the council offers a hybrid working style, only requiring one day's work in the office per week, providing great flexibility and work/life balance.
The Commercial Property team is currently made up of a handful of employees, and the client hopes to appoint a candidate who is guaranteed to fit right in and provide them with the support they need. During this busy period, the Local Authority is looking for a Commercial Property Lawyer who can start immediately or at most on short notice, if you believe you have the required skill set, please do not hesitate to apply.
If you require any further information or wish to discuss your suitability for the role, please don't hesitate to get in touch before applying and contact Maxine Beitler in our Manchester office for a confidential conversation.
