This is a unique opportunity for an experienced property lawyer to join a practice in the Caribbean.
Our client law firm is looking for a property solicitor to play a key part in their rated real estate team, with the view of stepping up to become head of department in a short, defined time frame, and with the support of the existing senior lawyer in the team.
The work will be broad across all manner of commercial real estate work for a range of clients, to include high-value sales and purchases and leasehold work. There will also be some high-end residential work for UHNWs and key clients. The commercial work will include hugely interesting deals in the hotel sector, including major acquisitions and general property development work, as well as development and planning matters.
You should be an experienced England and Wales-qualified solicitor with ideally between twelve and twenty years' PQE, however we will consider applicants outside of this level. You are likely to currently be a Partner, Counsel or experienced Senior Associate. A stable career history and good experience in City, West End or highly-rated UK regional firms is sought. You will ideally have some experience of unregistered land in the UK.
You will join at Counsel level, with promotion to follow in due course. Some previous management experience will be ideal, given the successful person will be leading the small, well-structured team. You should also have an enthusiasm in networking and BD, although much of the work comes to the team due to their reputation and by word-of-mouth.
Remuneration is attractive, comprising a good base salary and bonus scheme, but most importantly with the tax benefits of working offshore. A generous relocation and benefits package is also provided.
Working hours and living standards are very good in comparison to the UK so this will be an excellent personal move for an individual or family moving to the Caribbean, as well as a hugely attractive work and career opportunity.
To discuss this unique opportunity in more detail and in the strictest confidence, please submit your details or contact Philip Jennings, Director.
Please note that where a level of preferred experience or qualification is indicated, this is a guideline only and does not preclude applications from candidates with more or less experience.Jameson Legal acts as an employment business for temporary recruitment and as an employment agency for fixed term contract and permanent recruitment.
