Position: Legal Counsel, Intellectual Property
Location: Cambridge (Hybrid - 2 days a week office-based)
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum plus bonus and benefits
Our client is seeking a specialist Intellectual Property Legal Counsel to provide pragmatic, commercial legal advice that supports their global business operations. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact within a dynamic and innovative organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Intellectual Property Management: Advise on a wide range of non-contentious IP matters, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, to protect the company's valuable assets.
- Global IP Strategy: Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective IP strategies that align with the company's global business objectives.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential IP risks and provide proactive legal solutions to mitigate them.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including R&D, marketing, and product development teams, to ensure that IP considerations are integrated into business decisions.
Candidate Specification:
- UK qualified solicitor with 2-5 years of PQE (qualified or non-qualified experience considered), with relevant non-contentious experience in intellectual property law.
- Strong understanding of IP laws and regulations.
- Proven ability to provide commercial and pragmatic legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
