Senior Legal Counsel

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide top-notch legal advice and support, primarily focusing on the Life Science industry in our Harlow location. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling complex legal matters and projects, working collaboratively with various departments.

Description

The role of Senior Legal Counsel will include the following responsibilities:

• You will be acting as a legal lead on areas of responsibility and legal partner to the commercial business providing legal input into strategy, risk assessment and commercialisation to support the organisation's Pivot to Growth Strategy.
• You will be partnering with the Business Innovation team to successfully launch, bring to market & commercialise innovative products and biosimilars.
• You will support the Commercial business, Business development and Sales teams by driving complex negotiation & contracting across the supply chain and customers. Leading negotiations and drafting extensive legal agreements for collaboration to launch smart digital medicine and devices.
• You will be partnering with the business the deliver on the growth strategy for established brands. Working closely with the business to build robust relationships with business partners and customers.

Profile

A successful Senior Legal Counsel should have:

• A qualified solicitor in the UK / Similar jurisdiction.
• Preferred post-qualification experience of at least 5-7 years although candidates outside of this bracket will be considered
• Experience within the pharmaceutical or health sector and in particular new product launches would be highly beneficial.
• Experience of operating in an in-house legal function with proven commercial acumen and business partnering experience would be an advantage.
