In-house IP & Commercial Lawyer (1 day a week on-site)

Hays Legal is exclusively instructed with an in-house IP & commercial lawyer opportunity. This is an exceptional opportunity to work within a high-profile Yorkshire based organisation on cutting edge matters. You will be involved in the negotiation, drafting and preparation of legal documentation relating to a variety of strategic initiatives, the commercialisation of IP & industry engagement.

Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will:

• Negotiate, draft & review a range of legal matters relating to IP and commercial relationships.
• Provide legal advice & support to ensure effective and timely conclusion of contracts to facilitate relationships with key commercial partners.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders on legal matters relating to multi-million institutional-level research programmes.
• Input to resolve any commercial disputes & potential conflicts of interest arising from the organisation's activities.
• Advising upon existing and new legislation that will impact upon the organisation's work.
• Provide advice to internal committees as appropriate
