A regional Legal 500 heavyweight is looking to add to its personal injury team with an experienced costs draftsperson. Based in Manchester city centre, you will handle various costs tasks including drafting bills of costs, replies, points of dispute, costs budgets, negotiations and advice for personal injury, clinical negligence, Court of Protection, commercial and solicitor/client matters.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver efficient and timely service to clients, ensuring high standards and satisfaction
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with clients
  • Manage your caseload effectively
  • Stay updated on costs law and Civil Procedure Rules
  • Handle diverse matters, including:

- Bills of costs, replies, and Points of Dispute

- Costs budgets

- Negotiations and advice

Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced costs draftsperson with a background in claimant personal injury work
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Confident communicator, capable of collaborating with fee earners at all levels within the personal injury team
