About the company:
A fast-growing global asset management and solutions business is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel - Real Estate to join their legal team.
About the role:
Reporting to the General Counsel. This newly created role will require broad knowledge and expertise as you advise the company. You will manage complex real estate development and acquisition projects. You will play a crucial role in expanding the organisation's high-value portfolio. Key responsibilities will include supporting the growth and strategic development of a high-value portfolio of real estate assets. Overseeing the acquisitions of land and manage the development lifecycle from purchase through to construction and leasing. In addition to managing legal processes around construction and planning, ensuring compliance with the company's governance and policies.
About you:
The successful candidate will have at least 5 PQE, having trained in a top UK law firm. Ideally you have experience of working in a fast-paced in-house environment (desirable but not essential). Expertise in acquisitions, real estate development, construction, and leasing is preferable. Additionally, a strong understanding of real estate, energy transition, and infrastructure projects would be beneficial. This role would suit someone who is commercially astute and who thrives in a fast paced, complex and rapidly changing environment.
