COMMERCIAL LITIGATION / INSOLVENCY PARTNER

This multi-jurisdictional offshore law firm has a long-standing presence in the Cayman Islands and is considered among the go-to firms in the market for high-value commercial disputes. It is looking for a senior commercial litigator with insolvency and restructuring expertise, to join the partnership in what will be a rare lateral hire. This is a strong team with a good profile, and it should prove to be an excellent platform for the right person. Experience in the Cayman Islands market would be preferred, and this could suit an existing Partner looking for a better home for their practice or someone at Counsel level who is ready to step up. Alternatively, senior lawyers with strong Partner level litigation and insolvency experience from a good London firm, who are seeking to combine an exciting career move with a Caribbean lifestyle outside of work, are also encouraged to get in touch. Requirements

To secure a work permit for the Cayman Islands you will need to be admitted as a Barrister or Solicitor in the UK or an equivalent Commonwealth jurisdiction (such as Australia, New Zealand or Canada). Off island applicants will need relevant Partner-level experience from a leading City/equivalent firm; on-island, Senior Counsel/Associates with strong experience and a good network will be considered, as will those already at Partner level.
