An elite US law firm in London is seeking a Legal Support Specialist / Legal Project Manager to join its premier Capital Markets practice. This newly created role plays a pivotal part in managing the group’s matter portfolio, ensuring efficient project life cycles, and optimising the revenue management process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue Management: Act as the bridge between the legal and revenue teams to streamline the billing process, including managing matters to stay within agreed timelines and billing patterns.
- Efficiency Metrics: Analyse and report efficiency metrics for various client matters, conducting regular meetings with lawyers to assess timelines and progress against budgets. Flag potential budget overruns and ensure smooth communication with clients and foreign counsel.
- Client Communication: Manage written communication and updates with clients and foreign counsel, contributing to the revenue management aspects of the pitching process.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior lawyers and the firm’s Revenue department to ensure seamless project management and compliance with client expectations.
Candidate Profile:
- Current experience as a Paralegal or in Legal Project Management within a law firm, with direct exposure to client billing processes.
- Background in Capital Markets or Finance teams is advantageous, though transactional (corporate) and finance will also be considered.
