LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority based in London, for a locum lawyer to handle a varied caseload of general litigation matters. You will be a confident litigator, able to work quickly and meet targets. This is an initial three-month locum assignment.
To apply you will be:
- A qualified lawyer with prior UK local government experience Substantially experienced dealing with civil litigation matters, with excellent working knowledge of UK courts and court rules Able to commute to the office in central London on a hybrid basis of 3 days per week on site, and 2 days per week working from home Able and willing to undertake advocacy in the courts
Essential experience:
- Experience handling a caseload relating to landlord and tenant disputes both commercial and residential, commercial debt recovery, contractual disputes, disputes arising from non-payment of community care charges, inquests, injunctions and council tax disputes and judicial reviews. Experience dealing with building safety litigation would be advantageous.
The salary for this role is £38.43/hour PAYE or £50/hour umbrella.
