Asset Finance Associate, London, 2+ PQE

Our city firm client is looking to add an associate to join the Transport & Asset Finance practice, with a primary focus on rail/rolling stock finance.

You will be working with a supportive team of lawyers, who have extensive experience in structuring, drafting, negotiating and completing the sale, purchase, leasing, procurement and financing of tangible moveable assets, in particular in the rail and aviation sectors, in which they handle significant and market-leading transactions.

The rail practice is a top ranked practice in both the Asset Finance: Rail Finance category and the Transport: Rail: Rolling Stock category in the Chambers UK directory.

Examples of matters for which you will be responsible include:

• Advising clients on all aspects of asset financing in the rail and aviation sectors, with a primary focus on the rail sector.
• Running smaller transactions independently, alongside others in the team.
• Managing clients and project delivery.
• Supervision of junior team members.
• Inputting into and participating in, pitch/panel presentations.
• Supporting business development initiatives and client relationship management.

Skills and experience required:

• Experience of running asset finance transactions
• Experience of the rail sector (desirable)
• Aviation sector experience
• General banking finance experience
• Experience in cross-border transactions
• Relationship-focussed and confident in front of clients
• Ability to work independently, but equally knows when to seek additional support.
