Patent Paralegal

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and filing patent applications and associated documentation with the UKIPO, EPO and WIPO
• Managing deadlines and ensuring all filings are completed accurately and on time
• Liaising with clients, attorneys, and international agents to provide updates and coordinate actions
• Supporting attorneys with administrative tasks, including correspondence and billing
• Maintaining and updating records using the firm’s case management systems

Key Requirements

• Previous experience in a patent paralegal or patent support role within an IP firm or legal environment
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Familiarity with patent filing systems and procedures (eg UKIPO, EPO, WIPO)
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
