Join our Finance Practice Group as a Legal PA in a dynamic role offering a broad range of responsibilities. This position requires proven Legal PA experience, preferably within a law firm at the Partner level, along with exceptional organizational skills. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment and understand the importance of clear, proactive communication with those you support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diary Management: Anticipate and manage all areas of diaries efficiently.
- Email Management: Prioritize, summarize, and report on emails daily; create actionable points.
- Time Management: Ensure fee earners’ time and narratives are recorded daily.
- Drafting: Prepare correspondence as required.
- Travel Arrangements: Handle comprehensive travel logistics, including booking hotels and transport via the online booking tool.
- Administrative Systems: Establish and maintain efficient systems.
- Workload Management: Proactively manage tasks, working independently and taking initiative.
- Proofreading: Ensure accuracy and quality in all produced work.
- Relationship Building: Develop strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Technical Proficiency: Become skilled with our systems, office equipment, and legal terminology relevant to the practice area.
- Client Support: Build rapport with clients and anticipate their needs.
- Document Management: Open, archive, and electronically file documents as required.
- Billing Process: Understand end-to-end billing using Elite (Financial System); liaise with the billing team and produce documentation.
- Team Collaboration: Provide support across practice groups/teams when capacity allows.
- Typing: Undertake audio and copy typing as needed, including dictation or marked-up handwritten changes.
- Task Delegation: Delegate administrative tasks to team members as appropriate.
About You as a Legal PA

- Strong PA/secretarial experience at the Partner level.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Typing speed of 70 words per minute.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Knowledge of document management systems.
- Positive attitude with a practical, resilient approach.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
- Audio and copy typing expertise.
