Sellick Partnership is proud to be working with Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council on an exclusive basis for the recruitment into their legal team. We are looking for a Senior Civil Litigation Lawyer to join their growing regulatory team.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Civil Litigation Lawyer role include:

• Directly line managing 1 Civil Litigation Lawyer, 1 SEN/Education Lawyer and 1 Legal Assistant.
• To be able to work autonomously and make decisions.
• Assisting with the allocation of work and 1:1s.
• Deputising for the Principal Lawyer and assisting with the training and development of junior staff members.
• General housing litigation matters such as anti social behaviour, possession claims, injunctions.
• Civil Litigation matters including; contractual disputes, judicial review and non-payment of care home fees.
• Assisting the legal team with employment matters, such as discrimination cases, equal pay claims and HR queries.
