Commercial Property Solicitor - Locum

My client is a local authority in need of commercial property expertise. This role will fill a vacant post while permanent recruitment is undertaken. It is expected to last an initial 3-4 months, with scope for extension beyond this period.

The work is 100% transactional and related to commercial property. Daily duties may include the following:

• To personally provide, or facilitate the provision of, comprehensive, practical, and solution-focused legal advice for officers and councillors of the Councils, including the Management Team and Cabinets.
• To manage and deliver effectively a personal caseload of complex conveyancing and property related tasks across a range of expertise which may include acquisitions, disposals, leases, licences and easements.
• To assist the Head of Service, Legal Services Manager, and Team Leaders in advising and assisting Members and Officers on legal matters to ensure that the Councils act in accordance with the law.
• This role is not a residential conveyancing role although there may occasionally be an element of this.

The role can be worked remotely and IT will be provided. Candidates should be prepared to visit the offices in the West Midlands as and when necessary.
