Compliance lawyer

This position is seeking a Compliance Lawyer to join a leading Magic Circle Law firm as part of their Risk and Compliance team.

Description

• Provide expert legal advice on risk and compliance matters.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to regulations.
• Collaborate with various departments to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations.
• Review and update company policies.
• Provide training and guidance to company employees on regulatory matters.
• Stay abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.
• Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.
• Assist in maintaining the firm's policies and procedures on all issues such as anti-money laundering, sanctions, other aspects of business acceptance risk, conflicts, confidentiality, insider lists, dealing rules, ethical walls, and anti-bribery and corruption.
• To deal with compliance queries from fee earners and Business Services staff on a broad range of legal, risk and compliance topics.

Profile

A successful Compliance Lawyer should have:

• At least 2 years' post qualified experience as a lawyer.
• Proven experience in a compliance role within the legal industry.
• Strong knowledge of SRA laws and regulations including CDD, AML and Conflicts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
