Private Client Solicitor

We’re looking for an experienced Solicitor (Senior Associate or Salaried Partner level) to join an award-winning Private Wealth Department in Manchester. If you’re passionate about advising high-net-worth clients on complex estate & tax planning, inheritance tax mitigation and trust administration, this could be the perfect role for you.

About the Team

• A dynamic Private Wealth team that is one of the largest outside of London, comprising over 40 specialists
• #Working with high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, landowners, trustees and charities
• Collaborating closely with accountants, investment managers, private banks and financial advisers to deliver tailored legal solutions
• Handling contentious trusts and probate matters for executors, trustees and beneficiaries

The Role

We’re seeking a solicitor with:

• At least 6 years PQE in private client work
• Expertise in estate and tax planning, inheritance tax mitigation, estate administration and trust formation and taxation
• Experience supervising junior fee-earners
• A client following and/or strong market contacts, with a proven ability to generate new business

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in charity formation and administration, income tax and capital gains tax
• STEP qualification (preferred but not essential)
• Business development skills, particularly for Salaried Partner candidates, with the ability to bring significant client work and trusteeships/executorships

The role is based in the firm’s head office in Spinningfields, with hybrid working options available.
