Employee Incentives lawyer NQ – 3 years’ PQE LONDON

Well-regarded commercial law firm in London is looking to recruit an Employee Incentives lawyer of 0 to 3 years’ PQE. The team’s work includes dealing with incentives issues in relation to some of the largest transactions such as takeovers, private M&A deals business transfers, IPOs, demergers, outsourcings and restructuring and insolvency scenarios. Their work also includes advising public and private companies on incentivisation and remuneration arrangements for their executives, including the design, implementation and operation of cash and equity based incentive arrangements such as long-term incentive plans, growth share schemes and phantom plans. They also advise on the management incentivisation aspects of private equity transactions on UK corporate governance requirements relating to executive remuneration. As an Incentives associate you will potentially work with any of the incentives partners and senior counsel in the team and also with partners and other colleagues from the Corporate, Private Equity, Financial Institutions and Tax practices.
The key responsibilities of this role include: • acting as the day-to-day contact for advising clients on a wide range of share plan and incentives issues, including remuneration and corporate governance • Drafting, reviewing and amending the legal and commercial aspects of incentives documentation • Taking responsibility for the share plan and incentives aspects of corporate transactions of all kinds • Delivering first line support to clients on some matters and working within a larger team of colleagues, at a range of experience levels, on others.
If you are newly-qualified you will have undertaken a seat in Corporate Tax and/or Share Schemes/ Employee Incentives. If you are qualified, you’ll either currently specialise in Employee Incentives or have a Corporate Tax background where you have gained at least some experience of Share Schemes/ Employee Incentives matters.
