Commercial law firm in the City is looking to recruit a Corporate Tax lawyer of 5 or more years’ PQE. A significant proportion of what the team does involves supporting the Corporate team by advising on both domestic and international corporate tax matters which include M&A, transactional structuring, venture capital, private equity transactions, tax planning for management teams, group re-organisations, debt restructuring, demergers and advice on joint venture projects. The other major area the team covers is Real Estate tax and they advise on SDLT, LBTT, VAT, capital allowances and the CIS.  They have a large number of developer clients whom they structure development transactions for, giving rise to complex real estate project-based tax issues. The team also advises on Venture Capital tax (VCT/EIS) and Management Incentives and Employment tax.
The role is for an Associate or Senior Associate to join this collegiate and highly respected tax team. Although the focus is on corporate tax, it also offers an excellent opportunity for the successful individual to become involved in other tax areas. The ideal candidate will have gained post qualified experience at either a good London or regional practice and be able to demonstrate good knowledge in corporate tax, with experience and interest in the structuring of M&A and private equity transactions.
