To be successful, you’ll need exceptional organisation, communication and administration skills, plus high levels of flexibility. Although it’s not essential to become a Legal Secretary, a qualification - such as the one offered by the Institute of Legal Secretaries and PAs - can make you a more competitive candidate. In 2019, Legal Secretaries responding to our annual survey reported an average salary of £29,620 per year.
