THE COMPANY

The Hain Celestial Group is a multibillion dollar turnover, leading organic and natural food and drink company, with operations in North America, the UK and Ireland, Europe and India.

At Hain Celestial we've developed a real recipe for success - we create delicious food and drinks with goodness at their core and we have some incredible brands and own label ranges that also capture the essence of our business. To do this, we need the best people in our team, which is why we're always looking for excellent talent.

THE ROLE

An exciting opening has arisen for a driven and ambitious individual lawyer to join our fast-paced global food and drink manufacturer, boasting a portfolio of household brands and market leading products. Based in our Leeds office, you will form a key and integral part of the global (UK, Europe, US and India) legal team and the business, having direct access to and responsibility for advising senior members of the business, including CEOs and MDs. Reporting to the Associate General Counsel for The Hain Celestial Group in Europe and interacting daily with senior stakeholders within the business, you will undertake a varied and interesting in house legal role where your advice is critical to the business meeting its objectives. No two days will be the same - you may be reviewing review terms & conditions , assessing risks and proposing solutions for matters derived from a complex, multimillion pound CapEx project.

You'll negotiate and advise on such matters as:

* Commercial contracts (purchase of goods and services and sales of products),

* Intellectual property and celebrity endorsement agreements,

* Real estate issues,

* Management of commercial disputes,

* Advising the business on regulatory compliance matters.

There would be travel opportunities - to lead meetings in advising stakeholders within the business and lead negotiation meetings.

ABOUT YOU

You'll be a lawyer with a strong commercial awareness, and probably from a discipline with a strong contracts emphasis (commercial, corporate, commercial litigation, restructuring, property etc). You will have undertaken training at a respected law firm or well regarded in house legal team. This role is most likely situated to someone who has at least 1-3 years pqe. As well as your strong technical skillset you'll also possess excellent communication and relationship building skills, as you'll be dealing with decision makers every day. Your analytical, research and organisational abilities will help you to solve problems by providing practical, commercial, creative and constructive solutions.

As this role has an international element, language skills would be an asset, as would cross border experience, though these are not essential. This is a challenging, interesting and highly rewarding role , well remunerated with a package including car allowance and bonus.
