We are delighted to working in association with a non departmental regulatory body in Belfast City Centre in their search for a Fitness to Practise Officer to join their team on a temporary contract basis.

Your new role

In your new role, you will be responsible for protecting the public and safeguarding service users through the regulations.

The Fitness to Practise Officer will:

Carry out investigations into the suitability of applicants for registration.
Carry out investigations into referrals and allegations about registered individuals.
Ensure that investigatory processes are carried out in accordance with established organisational procedure and legislative requirements and that methods of investigation comply with best practice.
Provide advice to employees on matters relating to fitness to practise.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You will ideally have experience of working in a Fitness to Practise position or a similar role
  • Ideally hold a legal qualification, (Solicitor or Barrister)
  • Possess the ability to manage a caseload of files.
  • Can work autonomously as well as part of a broader team.
