Pure Search are instructed by a leading UK law firm looking to grow their venture capital team.

The Company:

Recognised for their strength in working with technology, entertainment and gaming clients, this is a unique opportunity to join an evolving team with real pedigree in the venture capital market. The firm are Tier 1 ranked across the board for their work in the TMT, retail, branding and entertainment space, providing an ideal platform to leverage off the wider commercial team.

The Role:

Working with both investor and company side clients, you will be exposed to a really broad range of VC clients across the FinTech, MedTech, Gaming, Blockchain, Sports, Music and Retail sectors. The role would ideally suit someone who has gained some exposure to VC transactions but doesn't want to join a firm where 1800-2000 hours is the norm and instead is looking for excellent quality work, a good work/life balance and a genuine brand in the market.

The team have recently undertaken work for international investors in the gaming space, up to £80m in investment for a well-known retail brand and multiple transactions for a global high-growth technology company.

The role will expose the incoming associate to high levels of business development from day 1, both internally and externally, and a chance to create a genuine profile for yourself within the wider firm.

About You:

You will have 2-3 years post-qualification experience, either in a generalist corporate role or a venture capital position. You should have a genuine and established interest in forming a career in venture capital and a keen interest in working with media, entertainment, gaming and FMCG brands. In return, our client will offer a clear and transparent progression plan in a relaxed, enterprising and agile environment, considered more akin to an in-house set up than a traditional private practice law firm.
