Pure Search are instructed on a rare opportunity for a mid-senior level data protection and digital media associate.
The Company:
Our client has one of the most established technology practices of any law firm in the UK, benefiting from a full service offering in support of their tech, digital media and data protection offering. Working alongside some of the leading names in the technology space, you will gain high levels of client contact from an early stage and be afforded extensive responsibility to build your own practice, with a clear view to partnership in the short term.
We have made every hire into this particular team over the past two years so have a good insight into their ambitions and growth plans.
The Role:
The role will encompass 30-40% data protection and 60-70% commercial/digital media. Advising across the full range of B2B and B2C matters, this is an incredibly varied role which will see you providing advice to clients across the sports, TV/film, gaming and advertising sectors.
Recent matters include advising an international pop star in respect of her commercial/digital rights, advising Premier League football teams in respect of management and sharing of fan data and monetising player data, advising video games developers on advertising and data analytics and advising market-leading advertising companies in respect of Adtech. There will also be day-to-day opportunities to get involved in wider commercial contracts, film, TV and media distribution contracts.
About You:
You will have at least 4 years commercial experience, including hands-on exposure to data protection/privacy matters. Whilst you will have built a good base in data privacy work, you will be looking to diversify this experience as you build your practice and work towards partnership. You will hold a genuine interest in the media and technology space and be committed to building your practice at a Tier 1 ranked firm.
