Commercial Litigator - Maternity Cover

A global financial services provider is currently looking to recruit a talented commercial litigation lawyer to join their London-based team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

Reporting directly to the General Counsel and managing a small team you will be involved in:

• Day to day proactively managing High Court proceedings for claims for fraudulent misrepresentation. Monthly reporting to the senior business stakeholder group. Monitoring and investigating customer reports on rogue trader activity and advising the business on appropriate legal action. Advising on ad-hoc contentious business matters instructed by the business or other members of the legal team, including advice for our US business. Managing legal process for recovery of company property. Reporting to the senior stakeholder group. Trademark, brand, and domain monitoring, both proactively and in response to reports. Advising on legal strategy.

Ideally, you will be a UK-qualified solicitor with commercial litigation experience gained in a law firm or in-house organisation. You will also have the ability to work independently and build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
