Pure Search are instructed by a truly global firm headquartered in the US who are looking to substantially grow the energy offering of their London office.

The Company:

With offices across Europe, the US, the Middle East and Asia, our client is a global player handling corporate, finance, litigation, commercial and regulatory matters. The firm's work across the energy space is industry led, encompassing nearly 500 lawyers across multiple international offices, making them one of the largest and most prestigious energy practices worldwide.

The energy practice covers everything from mergers between electric and gas companies through to restructurings, project finance, corporate and regulatory work, energy disputes and renewables and Green Tech. The firm's ability to provide a full service offering across the energy space places them incredibly well to manage all aspects for their clients on a cross-jurisdictional basis.

The London office is at a stage where it is in substantial growth mode, which makes it an incredibly exciting time to join the firm.

The Role:

Working with partners and senior associates across multiple jurisdictions, you will advise governments, lenders and sponsors on everything from Nuclear and Power through to Renewables, Oil and Gas, Energy Tech and Natural Gas. You will become a specialist in the energy space, advising clients across all seven continents.

You will have a strong grounding in Energy and Infrastructure and be looking for a role that represents a chance to be at the very forefront of changes across the industry. The role will involve negotiation of contracts and advising governments and international conglomerates in respect of international nuclear liability, as well as more sustainable methods including offshore and onshore wind, geothermal, tidal and renewables. You will advise across the entire life cycle of an energy project, from project development and project financing through to environmental and land use regulation.

About You:

You will have gained a minimum of six-months post-qualification energy experience at a US, Magic/Silver Circle or similarly international law firm. You will be looking to join a collegiate and growing team that can provide you with significant exposure to international energy matters with a clear plan for continued growth over the next 4-5 years. Joining a team with such distinct plans for growth will provide you with a range of opportunities, to both work and travel internationally across the Middle East and Asia if this was of interest.
