Corporate Counsel - £450-600pd (4 or 5 day/week)

Established international player in the energy sector is looking to bring on a Corporate/M&A Counsel for an initial six month period. The position will require three days of work at the Central London offices but two days can be worked remotely. For a more experienced candidate, a 4 day/week part-time option can be considered.

Working within a dynamic and high-calibre legal team, the role will offer a varied day-to-day remit including:

• working on M&A and finance projects
• supporting on JV and compliance matters
• leading on corporate governance work including drafting shareholder documents and handling KYC matters
• leading on drafting and negotiating service agreements, loan agreements and financing contracts
• playing a key role in corporate restructuring matters
• maintaining records and registers of various legal entities of the group

The position requires a corporate/M&A (and/or financing lawyer) with solid private practice experience. Any in-house work would be advantageous but not essential. The client has taken the view that at least 3 years' PQE would be required to undertake the role (or minimum 8 years if looking to pursue the 4 day/week option). Prior energy sector work is not required - the quality of the M&A/finance experience is the key here.
