Global entertainment business looking for an Employment Counsel to act as their lead lawyer on employment matters in the UK. The position is a 12 month contract to commence in mid-September.
About the Role
Acting as the primary Employment Counsel for the business' operations in the UK, Ireland and Switzerland, you will enjoy a varied remit managing a range of day-to-day employment law matters, like hiring; performance management and termination; wage and hour rules; disability accommodation; harassment, discrimination and bullying; contingent worker issues; off-payroll working (IR35) compliance, investigations and related litigation.
Supporting policy reviews and ensuring all policies are as globally consistent as possible in the relevant territories.
Supporting the management of investigations and complex employment issues. Liaising with external employment counsel where necessary to manage litigation or obtain advice on specific issues in the above territories.
Advise on employment or other workforce related issues arising in transactions and other corporate arrangements.
In coordination with the privacy team, advise on all employee privacy related matters
About You
This position requires an employment lawyer with at least 6 years' PQE (although applications from all levels will be considered on merit). Ideally you will have trained at a well-respected law firm and have gained some in-house experience.
You must be comfortable handling a wide range of both contentious and non-contentious employment law work, and possess the ability to successfully influence stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
