Part-time Employment Lawyer

Are you a knowledgeable Employment Lawyer looking for a part-time locum position?

We are recruiting to an exciting opportunity within a well-established London Borough Council for an experienced Employment Lawyer.

This assignment will be an initial 3 month contract, with the likelihood of extension on an on-going basis. This role would require somebody for 3 days per week, with the possibility of this to increase to 4/5 days in the future, paying a competitive £35-£43 per hour, umbrella rate. Initially, the role will be remote working, with plans for ad hoc office attendance moving forward.

Our client is ideally looking to recruit someone with local government, or public sector experience, who is well-versed in employment law and can join the team and hit the ground running.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

• Dealing with a wide range of employment matters, including:
  • Discrimination
  • Disciplinary
  • TUPE
  • Redundancies
  • Unfair dismissals
• Possible advocacy for Preliminary Hearings
• Employment Tribunal claims
• Case management

The successful Employment Lawyer will benefit from:

This role would be suited to a Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister who would be happy to get involved in their friendly, team atmosphere. The successful candidate may be required to attend occasional Courts or Tribunals, therefore must be commutable from South-West London.
