Principal Planning Solicitor

Local Authority

South East

Permanent

Up to £60k

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Principal Planning Solicitor to join a quasi-organisation on a permanent basis.

As a Principal Planning Solicitor you will be exposed to intricate and routine Planning matters, this will range from complex, large scale Section 106's, such as 900 new houses and Development Consent Orders.

As a Principal Planning Solicitor you will also undertake the following duties:

  • Provide Planning advice at a senior level
  • Judicial Reviews
  • Planning Litigation
  • Compulsory Purchase Orders

The Council don't tend to advise on committees, therefore there will be no expectation for you to attend evening committees. On the occasion they do, this is once per month and will be in day time hours.

The role will predominately be remote going forwards (all remote at present), as long as you service the needs of clients, once or twice per month to attend the office will be suffice.

This is a fantastic opportunity due to the role being largely remote, there not being an expectation to attend evening committees, along with no management being involved and exposure to interesting projects.

As a Principal Planning Solicitor you will need the following experience:

  • 5+ years PQE working as Planning Solicitor
  • Private Practice candidates will be considered, but you must have an understanding of how Local Authority Planning processes work

Benefits:

  • Flexible hours
  • Permanent predominately remote role
  • No evening committees
  • Exposure to complex matters
  • A competitive salary
