Governance Lawyer

£40 - £50 umbrella per hour

Locum, Full-time

London, hybrid working

Governance Lawyer required to join a well-regarded London local authority on a locum basis to assist with governance related matters. Our client is looking for somebody with local government background in a similar role to hit the ground running.

This contract will be an initial 3 - 6 months, with likelihood to be on-going. They are looking to pay an hourly rate between £40 -£50, umbrella pay. You will be working predominantly remotely, with office attendance required for one day per week.

Key responsibilities of the Principal Governance Lawyer:

  • Supporting the Monitoring Officers in strengthening corporate governance and ethics
  • Code of Conduct complaints
  • Assisting on public law matters across various legal disciplines at multiple sites
