An Education (SEN) Lawyer is required to join a large shared legal service on a locum basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a large shared service arrangement which prides itself on being one of the market leaders for undertaking public sector work.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide a range of public sector clients with professional legal advice regarding special educational needs and managing a complex and varied caseload.

Daily tasks for the Education Lawyer would include, but are not subject to;

  • Managing a caseload of complex cases, comprising mainly SEN admission appeals, with minimum supervision
  • Undertaking advocacy in case management hearings and final hearings in the first tier SEND tribunal and to instruct counsel where appropriate on more complex cases
