We are delighted to be assisting a friendly, progressive NHS Trust in their search for a Legal Services Manager. This fixed-term contract will begin on an initial 3 months with a view to extend further and could lead to a permanent position for the right person.

This London-based NHS Trust is seeking a proactive and diligent Legal Services Manager to manage two direct reports, as well as handle the following duties:

  • To ensure the efficient and effective management of clinical negligence claims made against the Trust;
  • To ensure the efficient and effective management of Inquest activity;
  • To manage the Legal Services team and the budget;
  • Act as the subject matter expert on the management of clinical negligence claims and inquests;
  • To prepare and present reports on clinical negligence claims and inquests;
  • To provide general legal advice as and when required;
  • To liaise with Estates, Procurement and HR in order to provide a comprehensive report of legal activity across the Trust.

This a full-time role for 37 hours a week, and the NHS Trust is operating a hybrid working arrangement. The exact nature of your hybrid arrangement will be tailored to you and this can be discussed at interview stage.
